Do you think you live in a free society? Can you do whatever you want to do? And do you take it for granted? Come to our training and find out what freedom really means to you. You will have a unique opportunity to experience life in a society where freedom is not what it used to be. You will share your thoughts with participants from other countries.

Cool. What is it all about?

(Step) Out from the Crowd is a four day long international training located in beautiful South Bohemian contryside. Together with 24 other participants from four countries you will have the opportunity to find out more about freedom in today's society. The training will use methods of experiential education. It will consist of various activities emphasising different psychological, social, physical and emotional aspects of the topic. After each activity, sufficient space will be provided for participants to share their thoughts and experience and to learn from each other.

The training is organized by trainers from an international volunteering organization INEX-SDA in cooperation with Post Bellum, an NGO mapping history of totalitarian regimes in the Czech Republic.

The training is open for 18-30 year old participants from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.

What can you expect?

• You will experience how your freedom can be restricted.
• You will have an opportunity to try to fight for your rights and freedom.
• You will have time to think about the ways you limit yourself and what you can do to be more free to follow your dreams and goals.
• You will reflect how your freedom is restricted in today's society and discuss it with the other participants from other countries.
• You will have an opportunity to plan small steps that you yourself can do to promote freedom in your own community.

Where is it? When is it?

The training takes place in South Bohemia. We will all meet on Thursday 14th of March at 12:00 (noon) at the main train station in Prague. We will travel together to the training location in South Bohemia.

We will be back in Prague on Sunday 17t of March in the afternoon.

Training location: near Veselí nad Lužnicí, Czech Republic

The program starts in Prague and it is essential that all participants attend from the beginning. Later arrivals are not allowed.

How much does it cost?

Participation fee is 35 EUR / 875 CZK.

Accommodation and board will be covered by the organisers. In addition, the organisers will reimburse 70 % of the participants' travel costs of train (2^nd class) or bus tickets from their country of residence to Prague, upon the receipt of all original tickets and invoices.
